About Karen

Karen Schuch (Shook), is the master artist for Beer and a Brush. She was born and raised in Northern Michigan. Concentrating in Interior Design and Psychology, she received a Bachelors of Applied Arts from Central Michigan University.  Shortly after Karen was a successful muralist in Chicago.  Even though her family was priority, Karen’s work became renowned in both commercial and residential applications.  In July 2003, she received national recognition in Country Sampler Decorate with Paint magazine.  The featured article titled “Gutsy Decorating” details only one of Karen’s beautifully designed interiors.
